Michael Currin practices in the areas of general business, including mergers and acquisitions, banking and commercial real estate transactions, including sale, purchase and leasing matters. He assists financial institutions with regulatory, credit and operational issues. Michael has been a frequent speaker at events sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association. He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust section
Michael has served in a general counsel role to several financial institutions, unregulated lenders, and other business entities. He has assisted financial institutions in their capital raising efforts, including both equity and debt capital, and the merger and acquisition of other financial institututions. He serves as general counsel to a large regional wholesale vehicle auction, assisting it in its general operational issues and in its merger and acquisition activities. He served as the chair and member of several Executive Search Committees of client financial institutions seeking to hire new chief executive officers. While he generally represents creditors, he has led the legal team in the restructuring of a $165 million dollar credit facility for a vertically-integrated agricultural processing company.
He is a graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Idaho, College of Law, Summa Cum Laude.
