Paine Hamblen is pleased to welcome Scott Kennedy as a 2023 Summer Associate. Scott has lived in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for most of his life. Motivated by his interest in human rights and the legal system, Scott is pursuing a Juris Doctorate at Gonzaga University School of Law and is on track to complete his degree in May 2024. While he is dedicated to his studies, Scott is involved in many extracurriculars, such as volunteering with a local human rights organization and serving as the President of the Gonzaga Student Bar Association.
He has also had a variety of work experiences with Avista’s in-house legal team, the Criminal Division for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho, and a circuit judge presiding on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. As of now, he wants to pursue a career in litigation and appellate work but is open to any opportunity. During his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
